Software Developer, and Camera Operator

Aspen Films (Formerly, Jenkins Media) | 2011 - 2014

Jenkins Media does videography for dance recital, performance, and adjudication events. Many of these events involved producing multiple video and audio files for hundreds — sometimes thousands — of dancers and performances. I lead the creation of an online management system that Jenkins Media harnessed to automate the transcoding of the thousands of media files we created at each event. Those transcoded videos were then distributed to the performers through that same online system.

  • Designed and developed full-stack media management and distribution platform, including custom JavaScript, PHP, and MySQL.
  • Filmed hundreds of dance performance videos, requiring working understanding of Adobe Premiere and DSLR cameras.
  • Made use of advanced scripting tools and the FFMPEG transcoding library to automate post‑processing and dynamic content generation.

Guitar Teacher and Curriculum Developer

Self Employed | 2007 - 2010

Designed, developed, and printed custom guitar curriculum, including chord charts and demonstration images, and sample music. Used that curriculum to teach multiple students, including the entire Grade 9 class of Hudson Bay Composite High in 2010.

Ankara Refugee Ministry was an aid distribution and work training program aimed at helping refugees living in Ankara, Turkiye by meeting both short-term and long-term needs. It was done in partnership with Kurtuluş Church, alongside three other churches in Ankara. We distributed food boxes to 500 refugee families each week. We began by serving 5 families and peaked at serving 6,000 registered families.
